Overview:

Part 1 (shorter): What Is a Fusion: The Basis, Plus Advanced Tips For Successful Fusion Dancing

From the basics to more advanced tips and tricks, this workshop explores ways to help solidify your dancing, understand more about how the dances that you are fusing work together, and other information that will help inform your dancing and make it feel fantastic.

Part 2 (longer): How Structure Fits Into Fusion

This workshop section is all about exploring leading and following concepts, plus some organized movements and structure to help your dances feel good while giving plenty of freedom to explore and engage. We will explore different holds, flows, and feels and how they fit into fusion.

Part 3 (longer): How Playfulness Fits Into Fusion

During this workshop we will explore new shapes shapes, improvising, ways to come back together when things don’t quite work out, individuality, while learning more ways to be playful through dance.

Part 4 (shorter): Consent, Safety, and Awareness In Dance And Dance Spaces

Part of creating a dance community that thrives is a focus on consent, safety, and awareness. This workshop focuses on how to get more dances that feel good for everyone involved, creating a welcoming environment, and having an awareness in a fusion environment in a range of ways that can enhance your dancing experiences in all dance spaces.
